This Guatape and Flower Farm Tour will be an amazing experience in the nature and in the mountains, that is on the way to Guatape, so it is a perfect complement to make a memorable day.

The flower farms are all flowered from July to October the rest of the time they are growing the flowers but there won’t be much to be admired, that is why we provide this tour only during these 4 months.

Guatape and Flower Farm Tour Itinerary

First you will be picked up at your place anywhere in Medellin by any of our wonderful and knowledgeable guides.

The regular pick up time is 8 am but since these are mostly private tours we can adjust the times depending on your needs.

First Stop: Flower Farm of Silleteros

Then we will take you through an amazing lush green scenery to our flower farm where you will be welcomed by the loveliest couple ever, Jose and Blanca.

At this farm you will feel like in paradise with its more than 200 hundred species of flowers and succulents.

But appreciating the beauty of all these flowers is only one the many good things you will see, because at this farm you get to learn all the history of the silletas and all kind of interesting facts that probably few local people are aware of.

Let’s Make a Silleta in Our Guatape and Flower Farm Tour

Later on, you probably would like to participate in the making of a silleta. Get hands on and experience this one of a kind job.

In our tour you can carry the silleta and walk it down as the silleteros do in the Medellín Flower Festival every August.

Throughout our stay in this paradise you will be drinking a home-made tea with leaves grown in the farm, an amazing delicious tea!!

After this nature immersion that lasts around 1.5 hours we will depart to our next stop: a massive and imposing rock.

Second Stop: Climbing Up The Guatape Rock

After exploring this replica, we´ll go toward the Guatape Rock known in Spanish as Piedra del Peñol.

At this massive rock you get the chance to climb up it. It’s 740 steps and 40 minutes approximately to go up and down.

Once you reach the top, you can stay up there for as long as you wish as you´ll witness one of the most beautiful views you have ever seen.

This is not only our opinion but that of hundreds of tourists we have taken there.

Third Stop: Guatape Town The City of Zocalos

Our next destination is Guatape, one of the most colorful and picturesque towns in Colombia.

Later on, we take a fully narrated walking tour through the town´s landmarks: church, main square, remembrance street, boardwalk and more.

Here is where we have lunch and get ready to start our return to Medellin.
