What an incredible experience! We are so grateful to Esteban, Estefanía, the horses, and the rest of the team that made this such a highlight for my boyfriend Max and me. Esteban picked us up from our hotel in El Poblado and took us to the mountains. We immediately began riding horses and enjoyed it so much that we hope we get the chance to do it again soon!! The landscape was so pretty and it felt very peaceful and adventurous at the same time. On the way back, Esteban took us to try some pan de yuca, which was delicious! This excursion was amazing! Laura picked us up promptly at our hotel. We spoke with her the entire time about some history of the area and recommendations for other stuff to do in Medellin and Guatape. The horseback riding was a perfect day trip and Laura was very knowledgeable about the horses and the area we were riding in. The horses we road very calm and seemed very well taken care of. It was a beautiful countryside ride and we will highly recommend to friends and family and would be happy to use the company again. Thanks again!

She was very patient even if we had individuals with us who were a bit scared to horse ride- Yuly and the young lady who were managing the horses made it very easy, and an enjoyable experience. I could not be be more pleased with my decision to book this tour and it was all made possible by my guide Sara. She was waiting for me outside my apartment in time for the drive to the staging area. During the drive she gave me a complete history of Colombia, from its settlement to its geography to its biodiversity. I was extremely impressed by her knowledge, complete with maps!
The horse selected for me was fantastic. It was a light day so I felt as though this was a private tour! Sara led me on a beautiful journey in which we saw amazing countryside and different species of birds, butterflies and orchids. Halfway through we stretched our legs at a beautiful old farmhouse.
The weather was perfect and I highly recommend this experience to all Medellín visitors wishing for an authentic horseback experience. Kudos to Sara and the team!

From the time we were picked up at our hotel by Andres, til the time we returned, we felt right at home. To me it felt like more than just a tour, but an adventure with a friend. Andres was extremely knowledgeable and taught us more about Antioquia, which is the region that Medellin is in and Rionegro, where the ranch that we visited was located. Being a first time rider, Andres taught me how to ride safely and taught me about the difference in the Spanish horses from the horses that are more common in Colombia. I also learned about the vegetation here in the area where I uploaded a picture of a Cecropia telealba with its silver leaves that can be spotted from afar. The trail was a mix of country trails and paved areas, with plenty of space to speed up to a gallop if you desire. As a first time rider, I was okay with this, even learning that paved isn’t that good for horses because it’s slippery for them. About halfway through our journey we stopped at a farm house with a bar and stable with a beautiful view. We had time to use the restroom and enjoy a beer as we played with the young horses, cats and dogs, while myself and Andres traded stories about our travels and how they compare to Colombia. On the way back, Andres gave us tips on taking other tours and advice about the best places to go and the best time to do other popular tours! I intend to stay in contact with him and the company Medellin Day Trips as they definitely made my time in Medellin feel like it was well spent!

My father and I are on a week trip to Medellin and were blessed enough to find the site which led us to Andres. Its difficult to write this review without sounding like a paid advertisement but we honestly cannot overemphasize how amazing our day with Andres was. We are not experienced horseback riders, but we had one of the best days of our lives riding through the luscious mountains on horseback. Andres was kind and thoughtful— very knowledgeable on the city and extremely culturally/internationally astute– and perhaps most impressive of all he has an incredible passion for life and for Medellin! We gained a brother in Andres, and my only advice would be to do a tour with him right away in the first or second day in Medellin as it will make you way more comfortable in the city and you’ll get the most out of your trip. Happy traveling!!

We have the ability to adapt the routes depending on your wishes, we have very wild off the beaten track routes, but also very calm and clear paths.

We have great horses! You can canter and gallop if you feel like it, otherwise we can just go slow to appreciate the views.
In Our HorseBack Riding in Medellin Safety Comes First
This activity is very safe, however we provide insurance to all our guests in case of emergency.
In addition, we always provide two guides for our horseback riding in Medellin with one in the front to lead and the other in the back to follow.
This is to ensure your horse follows the guide and stays with the group.
We are very proud to not have had an accident to date in over 200 rides, which is why we recommend you follow all the guide's instructions at all times.
After 2.5 to 3 hours we will finish the ride, say thank you and goodbye to our beautiful horses.
On your journey back to your hotel you can rest comfortable in our vehicle with AC.
