One of the graffiti you’ll appreciate

The street art throughout the whole neighborhood makes it more mind blowing knowing that most of them have a special meaning related to its history.

Comuna 13 is the place where the first open-air electrical escalators in the world were installed.

The escalators had a cost of USD 3,5 million and were built to help locals avoid walking up 350 stairs in a very steep hill.

Half of the neighborhood displays meaningful graffiti and you get the chance to learn their meanings in this incredible tour.

The history, the art and the progress in this neighborhood are the reasons to visit this unforgettable place.

Second Stop: Coffee Tour

After the graffiti tour section is finished we’ll have a traditional lunch at the coffee farm with an amazing fresh organic lemonade juice grown in the farm.

The coffee you enjoy every day has taken a long journey before being in your cup.

With this coffee tour in Medellin you get to know this amazing journey in detail.

The major attraction in this coffee tour in Medellin is the coffee farmer’s family, they are passionate about what they do and keen to make you feel part of their family.

To contribute to a better digestion we start our coffee tasting lessons with a Moka and an expert will give you an introduction into the world of Colombian coffee.

Then we start planting coffee seeds in a germinator to see the whole timeline until it grows into a tree.

Later on, we make our way to the coffee plantation to start picking beans by ourselves with a bucket and a farmer’s hat. Then you will depulp, ferment, dry, thresh, roast and grind the coffee beans.
