Guatape and Helicopter Tour Itinerary:
After we pick you up at your place in Medellin we make our way through the mountains in a comfortable private car.
It takes a bit less than 2 hours to arrive at our first stop: The massive Guatape rock.
First Stop: Flying over and around The Guatape Rock
Please bear in mind that the weight limit for the helicopter is 400 kgs or 880 pounds.
We take off directly from our base over the reservoir, heading toward El Peñol Rock, with a 180° turn above it.

The flight continues over the Peñol–Guatapé Reservoir, passing iconic estates such as La Manuela (formerly owned by Pablo Escobar) and and much more beautiful mansions.
The route also includes the Vivanti Condominium, the Cross of the Reservoir, and the Replica of Old Peñol.

After a smooth and scenic 6-minute helicopter flight, we return and land at the same location.
Now that you’ve enjoyed a 180° aerial view of the rock, it’s time to experience it up close—by climbing it yourself.
So we hop back into the car and head just a few minutes away to our next stop: the climb up the rock.
Second Stop: Climbing Up The Guatape Rock
At this massive rock you get the chance to climb up it. It has 749 steps and takes around 50 minutes to go up and down.

Once you reach the top, you can stay up there for as long as you wish as you witness one of the most beautiful views you have ever seen.
This is not only our opinion but that of hundreds of tourists we have taken there.
However, our Guatape and Helicopter Tour still has more to offer.
Our next destination is Guatape, one of the most colorful and picturesque towns in Colombia.
Third Stop: Guatape Town The City of Zocalos
At this town we take a fully narrated walking tour through the town’s landmarks: church, main square, remembrance street, Zocalos Square and more.

Once the walking tour has concluded we take you to the best restaurant in town to have a traditional delicious lunch (not included in the tour) where you have more than 20 different options to try the local cuisine accompanied by a cold sangria or a craft beer.
After we have seen all the beautiful places this town has to offer we get ready to drive back to Medellin with a smile in your face and full of good memories and photos.
All in all, you should not miss out this Guatape and Helicopter tour, it allows you to enjoy the beauty of this region in a different and fun way.
