Paragliding and Rafting Tour in Medellín

Experience two of Medellín’s most exciting outdoor adventures in one unforgettable day. Our Paragliding and Rafting Tour in Medellín combines breathtaking mountain views with an exhilarating whitewater adventure.

After pickup at your hotel or accommodation in El Poblado or Laureles, we’ll head east of Medellín toward the mountains.

The scenic drive takes approximately one hour, with beautiful landscapes along the way. Our first stop will be the paragliding site, where your aerial adventure begins.

Paragliding over mountains and waterfalls:

Once we arrive at the paragliding site, you’ll meet your licensed local pilot and receive all the necessary safety equipment.

Your pilot will explain the takeoff and landing procedures and provide clear instructions before your flight. Once everything is ready, it’s time to take off and enjoy an unforgettable experience.

The flight usually lasts around 15 minutes. However, the exact duration depends on weather and flying conditions.

During the flight, admire beautiful nature, waterfalls and houses embedded in the mountains. You will see a quaint town surrounded by lush green mountains and dramatic landscapes.

You can rent a GoPro service for COP 40,000 if you would like professional-quality photos and videos without risking your phone. This service can be purchased directly at the paragliding site.

After the paragliding experience, we’ll say goodbye to our amazing pilots and hop back into the car to continue our adventure toward the next stop: whitewater rafting!

The drive takes approximately 30 minutes, and along the way, you’ll enjoy increasingly beautiful landscapes as we make our way toward the river.

Rafting in the Calderas River (Level 3 & 4)

Upon arrival at the meeting point, our local rafting guide will welcome us and provide a brief introduction. Then, we’ll continue our journey along unpaved roads in a 4×4 pickup truck.

The drive takes approximately 15 minutes and takes us directly to the river shore, where all the necessary rafting equipment will be ready for the adventure.

Before getting on the river, your professional rafting team will provide a safety briefing. You will also receive all the necessary safety equipment, including a helmet, paddle, and life jacket.

We’ll also have a guide in a kayak nearby throughout the rafting adventure. He’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly while capturing amazing photos from a unique perspective.

Then, get ready to navigate the rapids of the Calderas River with your experienced rafting guides. The river offers an exciting combination of adrenaline, nature, and beautiful landscapes.

Before tackling the bigger rapids, we’ll enjoy a peaceful moment floating along the calm waters of the river. Take a moment to relax, surrounded by lush nature and the soothing sounds of birds.

In the middle of the rafting adventure we stop in a beautiful tranquil place to enjoy a delicious traditional Colombian lunch with fresh fruits. Meanwhile, take some time to relax and appreciate the peaceful natural surroundings.

After completing the 10-kilometer rafting adventure, we’ll have some time to change clothes before heading back to Medellín.

The drive back takes approximately two hours. Meanwhile, you can sit back, relax, or even take a nap while we safely drive you back to your hotel.

By the time we arrive, you’ll have an unforgettable adventure to remember and a big smile on your face.
